Innovative Connections is an avenue to assist with brain body integration through the use of music, rhythm, mid line crossing and Bal-A-Vis-X activities for young children.

Bal-A-Vis-X stands for Balance/Auditory/Vision eXercises, of varied complexity, all of which are deeply rooted in rhythm.

Exercises are done with sand-filled bags and racquetballs, sometimes while standing on a balance board. We incorporate additional equipment to facilitate right and left hemisphere brain connections. These pre-readiness activities help children build visual acuity (necessary for reading), rhythm (necessary for reading, math, and oral communication), reduced impulsivity, and academic learning requiring less effort and increased school success.
